My name is Sharon Lane.  I am a rare cancer survivor who has been doing advocacy work for rare cancers, online, since 1998.  In my recent work, I met Rich Nesbitt who had started a face to face Sarcoma Support group in Central Wisconsin.  Rich volunteered to be a moderator on our online Sarcoma Support Group Forums.  He asked me to help him with some website programming and it was in that process that we decided to create this website.

I am not a physician, or a medical professional.  I am merely a rare cancer survivor, like many of you.  I was blessed to have had many years of computer programming experience under my belt before my diagnosis.  In the world of rare cancers, that is a real advantage.  It helped me to find precious information and support quickly.  I do this work because I want to help others beat their rare cancers by also finding that information quickly.  If there is anyway that I can help you, please use the Contact Us link above.
